Opis : Megacities - Mexico City Part 1To Mother Nature, Mexico City is one big target. On one side: one of the world's most earthquake-prone hotspots. On the other: one of the world's most active volcanoes. And beneath their feet - a shaky foundation of landfill. From subways to freeways, this episode examines how Mexico City is harnessing cutting-edge technology to build in safety.

@AmricanEagl Ha that's some bad luck... sorry dude but you can't really trust police anywhere not even here in the states.

@LosParedonesMexico And don't forget Mexico City has one of the worst Police system in the world. I got robbed by three police officers in 2007 while I was visiting it. I'm glad they gave me 50$ from my money to make it back to the U.S

@ism3c Only 37% of Australians (at a census 5 years ago) are actually Australian beyond the second generation. Probably only 5% of those are from a convict background. It was only the poms who sent their criminals to Australia. The US aren't exactly Switzerland either.

@ism3c Well, that statistic is ludicrously wrong. Even if it were right, Australia is stil the greatest society in the world now.

I plan to move here one day, any suggestions where I might consider living? I don't want to live where there's a lot of criminal activity. Money's not a problem as long as its far away from danger.

Im British and Mexico City seems like a great place; one of the worlds great cultural hubs. All those people who are saying its a 'shithole' etc should be more open minded. Yes, it has some serious problems; pollution, crime, the risk from natural disasters but what major city in the world doesn't have challenges? When there are 18 million people in one place of course there will be problems; but there is also great museums, great cuisine, a diverse society...

@jose68967 What is it now then? But it doesn't really matter anyway because your gdp per capita will be very low.

|
@LosParedonesMexico Yeah you can but it still won't help. Mexico city, nothing in terms of livability compared Melbourne, Berlin, Vancouver. It is a literal shit hole lol
